police telling us the father pulled up in his car. somehow parked it in front of the apartments here but left it in gear. we're told he got out of the car and was holding a 2-year-old in his hand when he realized that the car was rolling backwards. inside that car that was rolling backwards was a 3-year-old boy and his grandmother. we're told the father dropped that 2 -year-old he had in his arms, jumped in the car, tried to put it in park to stop it from rolling backwards. at some point the 3-year-old boy that was inside the car fell out and was crushed by the moving car that was rolling backwards. we're told the boy was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. the 2-year-old that the father had in his arms, the 2-year-old girl was also taken to the hospital. we're told she has serious but non-life-threatening injuries. we want to bring you back out live to the scene and show you the car we're talking about. this is, once again, the family car. prince george's county police on the scene. they've been here for hours.
